Escape Goat 2 is the creation of Ian Stoker and he recently was kind enough to grant me an interview. Escape Goat 2 is coming to PS4 later this year.
Here is the trailer for Escape Goat 2.
Q : What was the inspiration for the Escape Goat games ?
Originally a DOS game called Jetpack, also other single screen puzzles like Adventures of Lolo and Lode Runner. Theme heavily influenced by Castlevania.
Q : What made you choose a Goat over say a Kangaroo, Pig or any other animal ?
Goats can double jump in real life, and realism is important!
We had asked Ian how he was finding coding for the PS4 and what support he had received from Sony, Ian confirmed that Sony is helping with the port but he can not speak any further on the subject due to the Non-Disclosure Agreement he has in place. This is nothing unusual as we are finding a lot of the Indie Developers
are unable to go into the nitty gritty due to NDA’s.
Q : Do you have a final price for the game on PS4 yet ?
No, but it’s likely it will be the same price as on PC, $9.99.
Q: When are you looking to launch on PS4 ?
It would be great to launch this summer–we are working hard to make this happen.
Q : What has been your favorite game of all time ?
Dark Souls. I know everyone says that these days, but it’s true.
Q : Whats next after this for you ?
Q: Is there anything you have been able to add to the PS4 version of the game ?
Not yet, but that doesn’t mean we won’t have anything special patched in after launch… anything’s possible!
Q: In five words how would you describe your game ?
Goat-based puzzle platforming action
That concluded our interview with Ian Stoker of MagicalTimeBean.
This looks like a game that is all about the gameplay and this comes from its basic format and we look forward to getting out hands on this when it is released in the summer.
Will you picking this up when it comes out ?
Be sure to come back here for our review when the game launches.
